Since 1990, TYC has been Florida’s Herff Jones yearbook connection. We assist you in every step of the production process as well as sponsoring workshops and plant trips for your school’s yearbook advisers and students.

Steven Wallace

Steven Wallace has been a Herff Jones yearbook specialist in North Central Florida since 1990. During that time he has built a relationship with students, advisers, and administrators that focuses on quality service, friendship, and respect. He brings his excitement, enthusiasm and experience to your yearbook staff and is committed to your success.

Steven has scholastic journalism experience on the high school and college level. The adviser’s advisor, he aids in budgeting and the organization of yearbook staffs. He also excels in helping staffs with creative ideas, themes, and covers. Steven sponsors The Yearbook Connection summer workshop in Gainesville, FL annually. He and the Yearbook Connection staff also sponsor a number of other programs annually to educate and motivate yearbook students including - A Day Away fall workshop, Tech Training, New Adviser workshops and Plant Trips.

Steven’s experience as a high school and university yearbook editor allows him to relate well with all aspects of the school environment, the challenges faced by yearbook staffs and their advisers and the importance of consistent support and service. Steven’s creativity and technology experience allow him to make creating your yearbook a fun yet smooth process.

Thomas Ruszczyk

Thomas Ruszczyk brings the Yearbook Connection nine years of journalism experience as an adviser and representative, and twelve years of teaching. This experience enables him to provide high levels of service, insight and support to advisers and students.

Thomas also has an extensive technology background. He is conversant with both Mac and PC platforms, desktop and online publishing programs, and the other important software that yearbook productions use. As the writer, principle investigator and co-principle investigator of two federal technology literacy grants, Thomas also has background in networking issues, technology ethics and technology law.

Thomas has been a teacher at yearbook workshops in both Gainesville and Orlando. He has presented on topics such as theme development, basic design, captions and copy writing. He has been a presenter and consultant in numerous reading programs through the North East Florida Education Consortium and the Florida Reading Initiative. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in secondary education from the University of Florida. He makes yearbook inspirational by challenging and supporting students and advisers to make their program the best it can be.

Jessica Daniel

Jessica Daniel has been a customer service adviser for Herff Jones for nine years. She earned her BA in English from the University of Dayton. After earning her degree, she worked as a production editor for a small advertising company. Leaving that job, she earned a position as a production assistant for Paramount Parks’ Design and Entertainment Division at their corporate headquarters, but soon found her way to Herff Jones, where she was hired into the customer service end of yearbook production.

Brian Revels

Brian joined the HJ Charlotte staff on March 3rd, 2007. Brian is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He earned an Associate of Fine Arts degree and a Bachelor of Art degree in Art with Concentrations in Graphic Design, Drawing and Printmaking. After training in the various production departments and becoming familiar with our HJ programs, Brian is now an active member of the Tech Support hotline group.

Christine Townsend

Christine Townsend is the customer service manager for the Charlotte plant. She became the Customer Service Manager in August of 2000, entering her 8th season in this position. This year will be her 29th year in the industry.

She began her career in printing by taking graphic arts in high school for two years, was on yearbook staff two years, and was editor of her senior yearbook. The Charlotte plant printed that book. Christine earned a degree in Printing Production Management from Appalachian State University, Class of 1983. She has been an employee in the Charlotte facility 18 1/2 years.

Robyn Williams

Robyn Williams is a Customer Service Adviser at the Montgomery plant. Robyn has a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations from Troy University. Robyn worked on her high school yearbook staff for 2 years and was on her college yearbook staff for 4 years. She has worked at Herff Jones since 2004 in the plant production areas and as a customer service adviser. Previously, she spent 3 years in the television world as a news producer for KPLC in Lake Charles, LA, and WSFA in Montgomery. Robyn will be handling Y Is For Yearbook customers for the Yearbook Connection in the Montgomery facility, which is the center for all Y Is For Yearbook publications throughout the country.

Cara Cruce

Cara Cruce is a student at Florida State University, pursuing a degree in graphic design. She was on the yearbook staff at Palatka High School for two years and was editor during her senior year. She now works with schools in the Tallahassee area and is committed to helping yearbook staffs stay organized and meet their deadlines on time. She looks forwards to continuing her education and sharing her experiences and skills.

Kristin Privette

Kristin is a graduate of the University of Florida and is an English and Journalism teacher at Gainesville HS. She started working with yearbooks in 1994 on her high school Journalism staff where she edited the yearbook and the school newspaper. She was one of Steven’s yearbook advisers at Westwood MS before joining the Herff Jones team in 2004. She returned to the classroom in 2006, but, helps with workshops and special events for the Yearbook Connection. Kristin specializes in design, curriculum, and organization.
